PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Kraemer rehabilitated the Old Cedar Avenue Bridge over Long Meadow Lake near Bloomington, MN. The bridge was closed to pedestrian and bicycle traffic since 2002 due to the deterioration of the old steel truss bridge and related safety hazards. It is a five-span camelback- through truss, 865 feet long and 20 wide. This bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013, and called for unique requirements with respect to design, restoration materials, and construction techniques.
