Duffin Creek Water Pollution Control Plant Stage 3 - Influent Pumping Station Subgrade
901 McKay Road, Pickering
Contract consists of the Shoring and Excavation of the Stage 3 Influent Pumping Station Sub-grade for the Duffin Creek WPCP Stage 3 Liquid Process Expansion Project. This project consists of the design and installation of the following: a contiguous
concrete pile shoring system; a natural gas venting system and a groundwater dewatering system, both for the purpose of performing excavation work. The vertical shoring walls are critical for the project’s completion as they protect the exposed rock and prevent dewatering exceeding 50m3/day. Additional work includes site clearance and grading; excavation and off-site disposal of all excavated soil, overburden, and rock. The excavation area is approximately 980m2, and is 30m in diameter and 27.6m deep. The total excavation is 24,000m3 in soil and 8,000m3 in rock.
