Pan Am Games - Hamilton Soccer Stadium (P3)
P3 contract. The new Hamilton Soccer Stadium was constructed at the site of the existing Ivor Wynne Stadium, and will host the soccer matches during the 2015 Pan Am Games. The stadium project included the demolition of the existing stadium, and the construction of a new 22,500 seat stadium to meet both FIFA and CFL requirements. The facility was designed to accommodate CFL games, a professional soccer club, the City of Hamilton's community programs as well as other events including concerts and expansion capacity for a Grey Cup event. The facility is LEED Silver certified. Combination of structural reinforced concrete and structural steel framed building with combination of masonry and steel cladding.
