A state-of-the-art energy-from-waste facility. The intended operating capacity for this facility is to process 140,000 tonnes of waste per year producing 17.5 megawatts of renewable energy. The scope of work for Courtice Power Partners (CPP), a joint venture between Kenaidan Contracting Ltd. and Barton-Malow Canada Inc.
Includes preparing all foundations, assembling all pre-purchased owner supplied equipment including; two boilers and stokers, two air pollution control systems (APC) consisting of a quench tower, dry lime reactor and baghouse along with auxiliary equipment, and installation of a turbine generator. CPP will also build the switchyard that will feed electricity produced from the facility into the power grid.
