PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Duffin Creek Water Pollution Control plant currently discharges approximately 340ML of effluent water per day and has the capacity to treat 630ML/day. Due to growing population demands this project is part of the ongoing expansion.

The scope of this project requires construction of a headworks facility which includes an influent pumping station, preliminary treatment building, flow metering building, and electrical building. Associated work included a biofilter odor control system, phosphorus removal system, flow control chambers, channels, yard piping and site services, ductbanks, aerated grit tanks, electrical system, instrumentation and controls, and mechanical/process systems.

Kenaidan self-performed 33,400m2 of formwork, 15,500m3 of cast-in-place concrete, yard piping, and the mechanical works on this project.
